प्रा. रागिणी नाईक  समन्वयक,  ज्ञान प्रबोधिनी प्रशाला सन १९६९ चा एप्रिलचा महिना. केंद्रीय माध्यमिक शिक्षण मंडळातर्फे दोन शिक्षणतज्ज्ञांची समिती केंद्रीय माध्यमिक बोर्डाच्या महाराष्ट्रातील पहिल्या शाळेस मान्यता देण्याच्यानिमित्ताने पाहणी करण्यास आली आहे. पाहणीचे सोपस्कार उरकले. समितीने अहवाल दिला....  "यांच्याकडे शाळेसाठी आवश्यक जागा नाही. अध्यापक नाहीत, शालेय सुविधा नाहीत, त्यासाठी आवश्यक निधी नाही, विद्यार्थीही नाहीत..... परंतु आहेत ध्येयवेडी माणसे, अभिनव कल्पना आणि दुर्दम्य आत्मविश्वास, ज्यावर या समितीचा विश्वास आहे व हा नावीन्यपूर्ण/रोचक असा शैक्षणिक प्रयोग सिद्ध झालेला पाहण्याचे औत्सुक्य आहे.....” ...आणि ज्ञान प्रबोधिनी प्रशालेची मुहूर्तमेढ रोवली गेली. या शून्यातून सुरू झालेल्या एका आगळ्या स्वप्नाची आज ५0 वर्षे पूर्ण होत आहेत.     ज्ञान प्रबोधिनीचे संस्थापक कै. वि.वि. पेंडसे एक द्रष्टे समाजव्रती शिक्षणतज्ज्ञ. स्वातंत्र्यपूर्व  काळात स्वातंत्र्यसाठीच्या लढ्यात अग्रणी राहून स्वातंत्र्यानंतर देशउभारणीच्या कार्याचे असिधाराव्रत आप्पांनी स्वत:हून...
